Settle the Driver Question First

Who will actually drive? Decide this before browsing anything. Some operators want a minibus licence category; others accept a standard licence within size limits. Ask each hire firm its rule. A passenger list is easy to change. A driver requirement is not.

Nine passengers and nine seats sounds simple. Add toolbags, cool boxes or presentation kit and the maths shifts. Luggage steals legroom fast. A team of eight with bulky kit often travels better in a slightly larger vehicle than a full one.

Shape the Hire Around Realistic Hours

Write down the day honestly. Departure time. Time needed at the destination. The drive back. Then add slack for traffic and a late finish. Hiring from eight until six costs less than eight until midnight, but only if the schedule genuinely fits inside it.

Ask Cost and Cover Questions Early

Nothing is agreed yet, so ask freely. What is included in the daily rate? Is fuel extra? What happens if the trip runs long? Which cover applies and what excess sits on top? Get each answer in writing. Comparing quotes becomes far easier afterwards.
