Weigh Up Charges and Cover While Nothing Is Signed

Collect two or three quotes and lay them side by side before committing. Look past the headline figure to mileage allowances, fuel expectations and what happens if plans slip by a day. A cheaper rate can quietly become the dearer option once a Sunday return fee appears.

Settle the Driver Question Well Before Collection Day

Decide early who will actually drive. If a volunteer from your event committee holds the keys, make sure they fit the firm's requirements and are properly recorded on the paperwork. Sorting this a fortnight ahead avoids a stressful scramble at the depot when the truck is waiting outside.
