Size the Load Before You Size the Van

Ask what the total includes, how mileage is charged, and what happens if you return the van late. One customer hiring for a fortnight saved noticeably simply by asking whether a monthly rate applied.

Leave Room in the Schedule

Long hires rarely run to plan. Renovations slip, deliveries arrive late, and hand-back dates move. Build a buffer day or two into your hire period rather than booking the bare minimum, because extending mid-agreement depends on whether the van is already reserved for someone else. A little slack costs less than a panicked scramble at the end.
