Let the Cargo Cast the Deciding Vote

Tempting as it is to book the smartest-looking van, your cargo should decide. List what you'll genuinely carry — pallets, a washing machine, bags of plaster — and match the load bay to it. A compact van that swallows the lot beats a larger one you struggle to fill.

Treat Collection Day as a Proper Appointment

Collection squeezed between other commitments goes badly: you sign in a rush, miss a scratch, and argue about it a fortnight later. Block out a proper slot instead. Walk the van round with the attendant, photograph anything marked, and ask how the handover works.

Put the Dates at the Front of the Enquiry
