Size the Load Before You Choose

Write down every item, then measure the longest and tallest pieces, since one awkward shape can rule out a whole class of van. Weigh dense goods too; a half-empty bay can still be at its limit. Straps and blankets count as cargo, so include them in the tally.

Name Your Driver Early

Whoever drives shapes the booking more than anything else, so mention their licence, any endorsements, and where it was issued at the outset. Be frank about their comfort with larger vehicles. Describe access at both addresses too, since a narrow lane or height barrier can change the recommendation.

Time the Whole Day, Not the Drive
