Deal With the Driver and Documents Before Anything Else

Size the Vehicle by Arithmetic, Not by Appearance

Work out what the car must carry before admiring anything on the forecourt. Count passengers, measure the suitcase or dog crate, and note whether a roof box changes the maths. A smaller model can be the right answer if the boot swallows the load, and it drinks less fuel.
